Bruce Willis’ Daughter, Tallulah, Sobbed When She Realized Her Dad Will Never See Her On Her Wedding Day

Bruce Willis’ family faced a new reality after the actor was diagnosed with aphasia, followed by his latest frontotemporal dementia (FTD) diagnosis. The news left everyone heartbroken and the family has been trying to live with it.

However, for Tallulah, it’s a different feeling as she is struggling to accept the fact that her father won’t be able to speak at her wedding. “I realized that I would never get that moment, my dad speaking about me in adulthood at my wedding,” Tallulah shared.
Tallulah cried at the wedding

In an essay written for Vogue, Tallulah narrated how she cried over her father’s condition at her friend’s wedding. “I left the dinner table, stepped outside, and wept in the bushes,” she wrote. The 29-year-old got engaged to Dillon Buss in May 2021, however, they split up less than three months after Bruce’s FTD diagnosis.
“In June of last year, my boyfriend, who was by then my fiancé, dumped me,” she narrated, adding how her family helped her get “a variety of therapies” as she dealt with mental health problems. “I was given a new diagnosis: Borderline Personality Disorder, an illness that impairs the ability to regulate emotions and find stability in relationships,” she said.

Bruce has the support of his family
Bruce’s wife, Emma Hemming, has been open about his health, and how it has affected the family. She often admits to how hard being a caregiver is on social media, while also supporting those in the same situation.

For World FTD Awareness week, Emma appeared on the Today Show to discuss her current life with Bruce, and their marriage. Her step-daughter lent a voice of support on social media to Emma after the show. “I TRULY could not be more proud of @emmahemingwillis for being willing to step out into the public eye, (even though it’s terrifying!!!) to share our family’s story in service of spreading awareness about FTD,” the 32-year-old wrote, calling Emma a champion and an inspiration to her.
